Default Opinions on this 02 Sti......

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3110853.htm

Thinking of offering a cheeky £4k cash.

The rear clusters have been taken of.

All it needs is a remap and front oxygen sensor fitted and should be good for 310bhp plus.

Or should i save and get a blobeye....?

Sti Had the same steering wheel as the wrx only with red stitching iirc. Spoiler looks ok to me and the bug sti had black carpets.

It has red stitching on the wheel so it's an STi Item, Sti had black carpets and the seats are genuine as the blue material goes up the side of the squabs.

Speedo cluster looks right as only the Prodrive Style Bugs had blue clusters..

not sure about the spoiler..... IIRC it should have a clear looking LED strip which lights up red.

Remember that this MY STi came with a low level rear spoiler so it could well be a copy....looks like an STi to me with a few bits added.

For me, enough things have been mentioned that I'd be looking elsewhere.

Looks like a good honest advert to me. Black carpet is normal on bug sti. I'd go for a look and see if you can get someone from here to go with you.

I think it is priced well as it is tbh and if you need to save up and haggle over a price then maybe a Impreza sti aint the car for you as the running costs can be steep.

I agree that it is already priced reasonably for a newage sti. Not at all keen on the owners choice of mods, which would probably put me off but each to their own.

I very much doubt that they will let it go for 4k, worth a try but I would expect to pay a bit more than that to secure it.

Ok you guys just go on a tantrum, honest if it was left to scoobynet members to sell cars it would be a disaster, u pick on the smallest of things and make opinions on something you have no idea about, then you get a member saying "to much listed for me to look elsewhere", TBH it look a great car and priced well, the bug STI came with an ironing board spoiler (low level) so yes it could be a copy but so what, the Bug never came with blue cluster, as long as you have the rpm in the middle your are ok to say that they are STI clusters, the Bug did not have blue carpets, which in opinion is good as it does not show up dirt easily, last but not least, the Bug did not come with a 3 spoke STI steering wheel, it has the same as a WRX but with pink/red stitching.

I have seen some bad adverts and this looks to be a good honest advert,

For 4k you will be getting a bargain and a good car.

You can always get good deals on the bug as they are the least sort after impreza, this isn't to say they aren't a good car. like they say, beauty is only skin deep !!

lol only joking but as said above its generally the cheapest version due to the looks but is still a good car underneath, and you cant see the front from the drivers seat.
as it is now confirmed as a genuine car it is worth going to have a look and making an offer if its a good clean example.

It's the age that determines the price - along with condition. Obviously nearly all bugeyes were registered before the "blobs" came onto the market.

I reckon some people would prefer a late classic to and early bug on looks rather than age.

Clearly in a minority here but I actually think bugs with the prodrive bumper "can" look better than blobs.

They just look more agressive sometimes. Lowered with big offset wheels and a FMIC they look pretty mean.

Theres one on here with white wheels and it looks very cool IMO.

I'd have a black prodrive (or a bug and get the bumper) and have white wheels with a big offset. White calipers and change all the pink writing and caliper writing to Kawasaki green.

I agree. A little bit of cosmetic surgery and they can look decent. Standard though I'd pick the blob every day of the week. Personally I'd save a bit more money and go for the blob unless you can get a really good deal on a bug.
