Default Who are the big boys? - Not a ***** waving contest!

I'm sure many of the guys on here (myself included) would really like to know who's running what and how much power.

If you've spent plenty of money and/or hours to get a real monster on the street or track, share it with everyone and get the appreciation your car deserves.

It's not a ***** waving contest and this thread is not aimed at starting arguements or hate towards someones' idea of their perfect car they've spent time, effort and money on. This thread is specifically for those who genuinely love fast cars and appreciate the work gone into them

So come on guys, time to show off your hard earned machines

Well.... It's not the idea behind it

Just wanted to give people a reason to show off their cars to people who would appreciate seeing them without feeling like a clot or seen as bragging

Hope it catches on because i want to see some hardcore machines

I couldn't find one specifically along these lines, just all the 'show us your .....' or '.... Stand up and show yourselves' sort of threads.

My ***** is staying tucked in nothin much to show here, I'm only a tiddler with 316bhp, but I'm starting to collect the parts for a forged build so I'll be waving it soon enough.

Ok ill kick off............Car is an RB5 Version 1 wrx sti type 555 RA Tommy Makinen edition dyno'd @478bhp at the wheels!

Upgraded slanty intercooler(painted yellow for better cooling)
VF22 turbo(these turbos are good for over 500bhp it says so on the internet)
380cc injectors(drillied out to flow lots of fuel)
Remapped Z4 ecu with AL and LC
Ronald Clarke massive air filter
Megan racing Headers
4 inch HKS Nur spec exhaust
A 200 shot of NOS

Ive not had the car long i bought it from Ebay, there is more to the mod list im just waiting for the previous owner to send through the exact spec including the dyno plot to prove the 478bhp...

Wr_pete, yoy'll still see off a lot of cars on the road so don't worry, as for the forged build, what spec you looking at?

I'm looking at rcm rods, omega pistons, acl bearings, cosworth head stud conversion, and a Md turbo looking for around 400 reliable bhp. Not sure on full spec as of yet I'm still doing the research, going to be doing all the work myself except remap.

Sticking with 2.0 for now but.... With these cars there is always just a bit more to spend And a bit more power to be had so maybe in the future I'll go 2.5 I've always said I'll be happy with 400bhp in a newage but won't know till I have it

I'm in progress building mine WRX,i will be happy with 500bhp,i'm still looking for few alternatives like 2.35L,but for now i've 2.1 stroker, time will tell if that was wise or no.

I've got 402 in a Blob and have had for nearly 2 years, really bored of the power now so really wanting 500+ lol

Been watching your progress Jura in the project section, looks awesome. Have you managed to sell your auto box? 2.1's still hold massive power reliably from what i've seen and 2.3s are very expensive, brilliant but expensive. When do you think it'll be finished?

Hi there

With newage is problem, are heavy cars, best bet is build classic with something like 500bhp and you have really ballistic car.

Autobox is still for sale, here in UK its hard to sell Impreza owners Autobox,in USA i've few interested guys, but shipping its killer...

Yes are expensive, but probably best combo, hoping will be finished in end of the month, everything is there, just injectors we will need bigger, hope so we will have in couple of days.

Anyway good luck

LoL, howdyafink...

It's like the Chinese water torture... 3800 rpm & 0.25 barg so far, 365 miles done but I can't get to the JGM till 02/09/11 so sadly no point in rushing.

Will then run her at std. ecu limited boost ( 1.45 barg IIRC) till 3000 miles, then fully synthetic oil and a proper map ? ? ?

Roll on September.
