Default How long befire a re map

Evening all

I got exhaust fitted a while back just the resonater pipe and back box, if i choose to go with 100cel japspeed down pipe and remove the middle cat how long could you use the car safely without a remap or is it just a case in taking it easy all the time.
The plan of attack is get another turbo and a remap but im looking at late 2012 for that so would rather just map once, nothing crazy 300-350hp will be nice daily drive and can use the skyline for carzy sunday morn

worried about dett and fueling more then anything while running a full decat on std map, any one with experince pls?

I've got a MY99 UK turbo with no modifications apart from a full decat stainless H&S exhaust.
I've covered over 50k miles with no problems. Never thrown a CEL once, and the bulb does come on and go off when the ignition is turned on.
Mostly motorway miles, but the car does get driven hard at times.

Maybe I've just been lucky, but as I said, I've had no problems.

Light wont come one unless you have the turbo up-pipe done also, I have it done, it will send the ECU out slightly tho. Fuel consumption goes up lol.

With just an exhaust it's what I would call a maybe, but I wouldn't be too worried, if you fitted an induction kit then I'd say definitely.

Right so the general thoughts are a full decat should be ok without a remap but will only come into its own on remap for full gains

most mappers will say that you run the risk of boost spike if its not mapped for a full decat
