Coilovers?
Hi, thinking of getting some and need a bit of guidance. Are these any good? eBay number 110720328777
Any help would be great with what people recommend and what all you people are running and the money I need to spend.
Thanks

I was warned away from these as well as d2 and other brands on eBay, but I know one of my mates using them and thinks they are great, he was only looking for a lowered ride and isn't too concerned about performance, if your going to track your car I'd opt for something else but for looks they are a bargain. And they can't be worse than standard subaru shocks
I went for Tein Flex but think I'm going to update the springs again as its still to soft for the track

The topmount nuts wont be an issue, but the bolts that hold the bottom of the struts will be welded on, if they are anything like mine were. Make sure you have a nice long breaker bar handy, and if possible blast them with some WD40 the night before.
Remember youll need a full alignment set up done after.

The price differential would indicate this too.

My invoice actually shows them as being invoiced as BC/Apex and everyone I've spoken to has stated they are the same coilovers bar the name and colour. Bren, I'm lead to believe cannot say so in public for marketing reasons I presume.
Obviously I have no real idea if they are different as I'm purely a consumer. I'd hazard a guess however that anybody claiming they're not are likely to have stock of BC's and want to shift them. Or cannot get the Apex units through Bren for whatever reason. It would also be quite logical to assume that BC dealers are none to pleased that their customers can buy direct from Apex at a lower price than they themselves can buy for
TBH fellas, i wouldnt pi$$ on BC coilovers! Buy cheap buy twice!
*EDIT*
Mine are a year old.....the offside front has started leaking, all 4 knock their **** off and now they all creak so bad it sounds like the suspension is about to drop out.

Hi Jay. How do you use you scooby? Do you track it. I am not going to and am after the look mainly so was hoping £600 was good enough to spend. But not if they only last a year.

Or are you saying that do you have GENUINE ones - but they still crapped out on you?!

All I can tell you is Dave stocks the genuine articles.

I'm not sure about the ebay item you've listed, can't say I've ever heard of them but bc are decent and you can opt for a fast road set up or a track set up depending on which version you buy.
Tein coilovers are pretty decent and it's fair to say they're the next step up from your bc's but naturally that's shown in the price too.
After that there's your KW which are really good, thats what we use on the Time Attack car we've built, and the daddy of all coilovers are ofcourse ohlins, they're usually around the £3k mark but are well worth the money, the result on Ant's Evo 10 is incredible.
We align and setup coilovers that are already fitted for £75 inc. VAT, results from a happy customer of ours can be seen here; https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-hawk-sti.html

I've been warned away from those Raceland ebay specials by 2 separate independent sources. 'Cheap tat' i think was the phrase...
I've just got a set of the APEX branded BC coilovers and so far very very impressed with them along with a good FRSU.

I suggest that anyone has anything bad to say about BC/Apex has the *****, and speaks to Bren directly.
I am sick and tired of people saying on here, oh someone said this, someone said that. Stop Talking $hite.
Rant Over With
In your opinion it's ****e.
But I'm only relaying what Dave that to me in person. I've not made that up at all.
Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything at all
(in fact I wish I hadn't - but I was just letting people know what I was told).
If YOU need it clearing up, then I suggest you speak to Dave and Apex.................

Don't you think its because david want to sell you a set of BC you D/F

Perhaps you should think before you speak the next time
Im not talking $hit im talking from experience.......My coilovers were bought in a group buy on here by the cars previous owner, they are only a year old and are now useless!
I don't have to justify myself to YOU, Mr, ahem, Guru.
(We all know you 'have it in' for APi from another thread anyway.............)
And?
What's so wrong with that, pray tell?...
...Seems like it was sound advice if you ask me (if you checkout the above quote).
