Any experience with this guys? Subaru4u
evening!
As I've only bought my first scooby last week, googled for subaru in Berkshire, and the first one that came up is just 2min down the road from me...
this guys:
http://www.subaru4you.co.uk/
Anyone has experience with them? any good? stay away?
Being new to the subarus im still a bit aprenhensive on diving in and check it over properly, altough I service and repair all my bikes and land rovers!, so Im just hoping this is a good place where they dont mind having a chat, give advise, service it and not rip you off..
yeh, i know, probably too much to ask! lol

Yes they are a good company, i have bought a few things from them, and i know some people that use them for tuning etc.
They have been about for years.
I would class this garage, a proper Subaru Specialists.
Here's there web page.

seems all like good stuff so far...
might pop over tomorrow and see how friendly they are.... see if they are the type that will show interest in a new owner and pop the bonnet open to see what's inside.... or will go straight for "yeh mate, book it in and we'll have a look"...
hope its the first

I've never used Subaru4you but had friends that have and had conflicting reports back off them. Another local garage to you in Newbury is ignition motorsport, they all go to him now and can't speak highly enough but I've read on here that some people arnt happy with his work either lol
As already suggested I use Richard at FB tuning for any work that needs dong on my car now, it's a bit of a drive from Reading but worth it IMHO.
Take a drive down to S4U and see how you feel, only you will know if you feel comfortable leaving your car with them to work on.

Been there today.... friendly, helpfull.. im booked in
Im not planning on doing upgrades to increase bhp or anything like that, all I want is someone who knows their subarus to have a look at mine, check everything and tell me:
Its ok, all is good and there's no issues, but you can make it run better by doing a, b, c
or
It's a pile of crap and you better of scraping it
hahahaha
So, probably, for my requirements they are more than capable, altough I do understand once you get into very precise mods, enhancements, etc.. different reports will always be around, no matter what shop

Had my cam belt done there back in Feb, all I can say is top guys !
Pointed out a few issues whilst car was on the ramp, with no pressure to have them fixed (r/cover gasket etc) and whilst cam belt was off the guys physically showed me my belt tensioner that was starting to weaken - again no pressure to have done, but I had that done too.
Would defo use again if need some work done out of my capabilities !
Hope helps,
