Default Inlet hose question

I have just fitted the standard airbox on my version 4 sti after removing an induction kit, I did not have the original flexi hose that goes from the MAF to the pipe going under the inlet manifold to turbo so I ordered one from a breakers.
The hose has fitted fine but there is a small hole in the bottom of it that looks as if a small breather hose connects to but I cant see anything.
The hose has a number 5 stamped on the top so I was guessing its from a version 5 and that connection is not needed.

I just need to know if there is something that connects to it or should I bung it up or just leave it?

Well I found out looking at a friends that the hole shouldn't be there so just gonna bung it up with something.
Not sure what the hose is actually off.
