Default Question about Shocks

The shock absorbers on my Sti have been knocking for a while, upon taking my car to the dealership I have been told its not a big deal, I also spoke to someone at Roger Clark and they also confirmed this. My question is if I dont change my shocks and learn to live with the sound will it affect the car in any way, cheers guys.

The shocks will still work fine, it's just the noise. Have you tried spraying them with white lithium grease?

Cheers for the offer mate, will think about it just abit strapped for cash at the moment, will also try greasing them to see if that stops the knock for the time being, thanks for the replies lads.
