Had superb day at castle combe with subaru today. Driving WRx and Sti. Lucky enough to get ride with Mike Wood in Prodrive car. Awesome.
Many thanks to all involved especially those at CVC Cardiff for giving me the opportunity.
Nice to meet a few other scooby drivers as well.
Chip.

Yeh, Great mornings entertainment - Thanks Tileys.
A few observastions about the cars as it's the first time i've driven the new shape.
Brakes on the STI were disapointing. Lots of pedal travel and not fantastic stopping power like the Alcons.
Power - Bit difficult to compare on track as you don't get a good idea of pick up. I thought though that both were very good - Not the punch in the back that the P1 has, but much better than I had expected due to the weight gain.
Suspension - WRX - Very soft. STI - I thought too was a tad soft and rolled a bit. But then i've got my Leda on 12 front 6 back at the mo!
Steering - Lacked some feel of the old model(maybe tyres had worked hard?). Though I think my old MY97 had more feel/feedback than current P1.
Thanks Mike for the lap - You've obviously been watching too much of Tiff!!
Again, great day, well organised.
Steve.
