Default Buying advice please.

Hi all, looking to buy WRX Impreza estate or a Forester, went to see an Impreza today with just 20k on clock but noticed last service at 10k was two years ago. Another on my short list with 36k was serviced at 10k then not again until 27k. Is the service interval all important, the car I test drove today seemed fine, damned fine in fact.
Also I've seen a low mileage forester 2.5XT which has clearly been used for towing, I read somewhere clutches can be a weakpoint?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

You need to check the've gone through the 5 year or 50,000 mile cambelt service also dependant on age of course. there are oils that need to be changed not just engine but gearbox and diff . Should any of those components fail due to poor servicing then repair bills can be high. Most people would probably walk away or insist on a large discount.

Thanks Topman, I feared the answer would be walk away, both Imprezas are 07 so cambelt change due soon.
