Default SORRY Another oil Question?

Hi just need a bit of advice really, i'm in need of some gear oil for my 2006 Hawkeye Sti, it only needs topping up ,but im unsure of what to use ive looked at opie oils , and the manual but cant make much sense of it.

Should i be using fully synthetic or not? 75w/90? id be very grateful if anyone could recommend a good gear oil or tell me what your using.

Thanks Mark.

If you're unsure of what's already in I'd just change it for peace of mind. I use Millers fully synthetic 75w/90 NT (nano technology).

Yeah no problem with fully fully synthetic, Opie sell some good quality stuff so you wont go wrong there.
Good advise from Einstein RA, for peace of mind just change all the oil and be done with it.
A good specialist shouldnt charge you much.

If you change the diff oil - make sure to use a LS one.

Thank you all for your help, good advice from all of you. my car is going in for a service within the next two weeks so will get all the oils changed then anyway, only reason for me asking now is because i want to top up just to be on the safe side until i get her properly serviced.
Thanks
Mark.

About 4.5 litres for the gearbox and just under a litre for the rear diff iirc

It's about £60 from Opie, but only needs doing every couple of years so not too bad when you consider that

Its just something else. I think my rear nearside shock is dead, it gets very skittish when the weight is on that corner in a bend, a bit of 'fluid' in the wheel well. MOT at the end of the month. *****!!
