iv got a standard wrx bugeye with the standard black side skirts, does anyone know if i could spray them the same colour as my car? or would i need to buy new ones?

they can be sprayed but would need a bit of prep, if you get some prepainted sti skirts would be much easier and probably cheaper, as even if they need painting would need far less prep work

hi johnski its a fairly straight forward job. to start remove your side skirts and rub down with 400 grit sandpaper and a red scotch pad then plastic prime them this stops paint flaking of you then have two options you can then paint with the couler straight over the plastic primer but be aware you wont get a smooth finish like the rest of your car because of the texture of the plastic. your best bet is once plastic primed you can spray a filler primer over them that takes the texture away then again flat with 400 sandpaper then your ready for your couler to go on and there you go couler coded skirts just one more thing to be aware of if that's your car next to your name you have to paint a black base before you put your couler on to get the shades the same but with it just being skirts it may not matter that much hope thats some help to you oh and it will be a base coat and lacquer joby
