Selling Everything to buy Blob STi or Hawk STi!
Hi guy,
have a few cars at the moment and have decided to sell up everything and just have one nice modern car, im sick of running, fixing and generally maintaining 3 vehicles.
Always loved the Blob but also the Hawk Stunning Cars.
Sold my Swift GTi track Car last night for £1600
Have my Astravan to sell hopping for around the same £1600
and also my 93 WRX that has just gone for a full respray. Hoping for around £2500 for that but i know that is pushing it in today's market but will have a fresh respray and complete V6 STi styling with other subtle mods will see anyway...
Have abit saved also and do earn good money as i own my own small printing company so could get together a couple more K if need be.
Looking at the moment to spend anything from 6k upto 10k big difference i know but just can decide.
I know i want either Blob or Hawk has to be a STi don't want to go to mad 350bhp would be nice, Coilovers, Rota Grid Drifts that's about it at the moment.
I test drove a 2004 JDM STi at the weekend was very nice but didn't feel as quick as i had hoped but probably doesn't help my that my previous Jap car was a 450bhp Supra . But with the upgrades available this can be fixed! It was up for 7.5k Completely standard but i was put off by the mileage 87k With no history since 57k
Any recommendations JDM or UK spec Hawk or Blob Pro's and Con's etc
Buying tips also?
thanks

There is a black 2003 JDM STI up for sale in the for sale section I think, 6k 91k miles but has history, real bargain as the engines are pretty good on the twin scroll cars
They dont feel as quick as a car with a big laggy turbo, those are all nothing then one big push which gives you the feeling of it being quick, the twin scroll is pulling from less than 2k up to the red line, its more linear and quicker than previous versions that were made

I am going to say a hawkeye... but then I would having one.
For me and I bought last weekend, its had to be a V9 or V10 with PPP and below 50k. which should see you between 8-10k dependent on age/mileage and spec.
I ended up with a 20k hawkeye running 360bhp but spent a bit over 10k. It is for sure a buyers market at the moment!

I went my05 jdm sti great cars but they don't feel as quick as a uk car due to no lag as such but look at the speedo it is deceiving the other advantages such as quick rack are also very worthwhile

History for the time it's been in the country is important in my opinion, even if it's just receipts for oil and filters.
Mileage wise, the engines are very good on the newage STI's so mileage isn't a massive issue. I sold a 100K blob STI a while ago and that ran as sweet as a nut (and still is). Obviously a low miler would be better come resale time but it comes down to your budget. A low miler will be significantly more money but would be the better option in the long run.
Look for a nice clean well maintained 2005 JDM STI, hard to find but would suit you perfectly I think. Can easily see 350bhp without much money.

Ok not much history since 57k but the garage that has it has serviced it twice as they sold it to a local guy and his missus could not get on with it so chopped it in for another car.
What are your opinions on this: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...s/20?logcode=p
I take it that is not a bad price

Watch how much you sell m8 or they be wanting more money out of you for being a suspected trader, ive been trying to sell my 2 classic and had nothing but sh!te from kieran, has a right chip on his shoulder,
But then its all about how much they can get out of us, as they only in it for the money not cars,
bunch of drips they are.

I have a 56 plate jdm hawkeye, 50k with full detailed service history which I will be selling v soon, just had it taxed, mot'd, 4 new bridgestone potenzas fitted, its booked in for a service next week and I am trying to source a new back box (nur spec r probably) to replace the miltek which is blowing.
mods are as per type 20 kit and recently been map tweaked by JGM, 352 bhp.
I don't wanna part with it but due to a relationship split and all that goes with it im having to sell it to hopefully get back on the property ladder. ;(
Once these bits are sorted it will be fully detailed and then put up for sale
Price will be around £11,000
Without checking ive done approx 15k in 2 yrs.
Once you've had jap you never go back
