It wont be a version 8 either, they dont exist, and if they did it would have been a version 9.
Twin scrolls are blob eye models, very hard to tell just by looking into the engine, you have to check the turbo (vf36/37) and it would sound different too.
On a standard car with a single scroll, as Aladdin has said, 400+bhp as long as its been well maintained.

You must be fed up quoting the version information by now! Can the mods not make a sticky of the versions and phases somewhere?

Yup
It just confuses the matter, especially with new age cars as parts differ between models and could end up costing someone a packet

What sort of budget do you have?
Anyone who has had one will tell you twin scroll is the way to go if you can

Ist the version 7 uk/jdm as good as a version 8 after converting to twinscroll?
What about the header i think on v8 they are equal length is there any difference?
What do i need for 7 to 8 engine conversion.
Is 400bhp on stock engine safe for a track car?

So a uk v7 sti wond make a v7 jdm just by changing the steering rack?
You recommend to pay few pounds more and get a real jdm instead of a uk spec.

Do you know any facs whats the real difference? Not just what you think or you heard.
You would help me a lot as im really confused which car to buy.
Hat a version 2/5 sti before. Now i wont something newer. I hope im not wrong with this decission

UK cars dont have the rear wash wipe, an 8k red line, different gearbox (shorter ratio's in 5th and 6th), auto i/c spray, different turbo etc, they have alot of similarities but also alot of differences.

Yes the JDM STI twin scrolls were blob eye cars (2003 model year), different steering wheel etc.

Does it really matter having twin scroll over single scroll?

If I were going for a newage, I'd prefer a Prodrive bug. Although I'd be unlikely to want to go over 400 - as long as it felt as quick as my old Type RA classic I'd be happy (320ish on a VF29 I think it was)

In what way though?

My understanding of UK cars is that bugs and blobs are no different before DCCD-A was introduced.

I guess it's the JDM blobs that are twinscroll?

Ye some blobs & above. The power delivery compared to a single scroll is very different. You hardly have any lag! Its like a supercharger..

UK cars are way different, gearing, i/c waterspray etc etc etc etc

Oye & UK cars weigh like Sofa's lool

With supporting mods you'd get 460hp surely? Standard block may give up the ghost of course though albeit some on here are running that power on a standard block & it's been fine for years ...

I love all this twin scroll talk, personally not a fan, i appreciate the jdm cars are better equiped but for me the twin scroll is not the holly grail, its personal choice I guess but I would advise test driving one first, oh and my flame suit is on lol

sinlge scroll gives the kick in the back effect, twins not so much but earlier power delivery, horses for courses

How right you are Tony, lol, After driving mine for the last couple of months, I can`t really compare it to my last motor for power delivery as it`s far superier, That was a MY02 bug wrx with sti transplant running 332bhp/329lbft

This twinscroll lark is great, virtually no lag and instant power delivery, Sounds totally different and screams on boost(which is nice), So much easier to drive around town...If i have too, Twinscroll is the future

I'd rather have the kick in the back! Don't understand the quest for zero lag on turbo cars, people who moan about lag should get a poxy n/a car ffs

Dont think it`s a quest on my part, Just how the Japs make them for themselves and i wanted some of it, Power delivery is more linear than a kick in the back and you dont have to keep them at 3-4k rpm to get the power when you want it or change down a gear, Last time i checked Subaru didn`t do a 350bhp non-turbo
