Just like Renault own Nissan, Man a French GTR! Lol how ****! The toyota Subaru thing is Great, apparently the new AE86 will come in two guises both rear wheel drive the toyota being a 200bhp job with NA Boxer engine and there will be a Subaru version with a Boxer Turbo charged version. I cant wait! A rear wheel drive turbo charged car which almost looks like a baby Supra or celica with a Boxer engine. Yes!! although Toyota need that as theyve lost their way for a while with nothing really of interest on the sports car front.

Its a proper head banger, although looking at the groups there should be some world class motors on the market if you were to combine some of the best bits from each!

I know most of them, you can see certain trends on price on aggregator websites etc... although some trading names use very basic levels of cover from the insurance companies. With something a little more specialist as a Subaru, it is always worth calling a broker to get a rate, as there are a lot of "broker only" insurance companies.

Good question.
As a broker, I am on your side. If you don't come to me, I don't have a job! You may have seen on TV on the loud opera chaps, or meerkats adverts that insurance premiums have risen 34% this year.
The reason is easy to see if you are sat on my side of the phone; more personal injury claims, more fradulent claims than ever and more cost for courtesy cars etc... the list is endless. Gone are the days where you got hit, car went in for repair, you got a cheap runaround and within a week you were back and motoring again.
You will be pleased to know though, that on average (and I'm sure Mr Moulson and Sky will agree) brokers increases this year are substantially less as we take the time to get the RIGHT details, first time round. Enthusiasts don't cost insurance companies as much money as daily drivers or persistent claimers.
So, yes rates are going up and although it looks like you are getting the juicy worm rate, the increases are only based on the claim culture we have now.
So my advice keep with a broker and you can't go far wrong!
