Depends which company mate. I am cheaper to insure a type r sti than i am a normal sti and if you tell them it has a tracker it increases by £100

I had a blob wrx and they had it on their records as sti. I asked them to change the car to the correct details (wrx) and there was no difference in premium (I bet there would be if i was changing from wrx to sti tho).

They are all different but most just charge what they like, i have played about with quotes in the last few years (changing job details etc) and there is massive differences depending on job, location, homeowner, kids etc etc.

Impreza is a sought after car, I mean you wont get a mob breaking in to your house so they can steal the keys to your Corsa! (unless they were that desperate of course)

Some insurance companies charge you more for having a Jap import and some charge you the same for having a UK car

It is a case of shop around to get your best quote and good luck with finding a company that's not out to rip you off!
