Default newbie with a question

Hey been snooping around here for a couple of days, looks like its a very helpfull site with plenty of info on.

Im going to view a 2003 blobeye sti pp tomorrow,

One question i have is, its got 51k on the clock and is obviously coming up 8 years old, and only has 6 stamps in the book, but it has had the major cambelt service, should this put me off?

also what other points are there to look out for?

any help would be great, Chris

Based on my limited experience of buying a 40k mile blob eye recently...

Get it hot on a decent test run i.e. 30 minutes @ 70mph down the motorway to see if the centre diff is knackered!

Mine drove fine - straight & in circles on the test drive. Got it hot on the way home and the centre diff is clonking away happily when turning.

Nothing that can't be fixed though

If it's a private sale, buyer beware. If it's genuine trade you would have a bit more come-back.

Good luck

Steve
