Default oops ! sorry scoob !

this morning i woke up nice and early to work on my scoob
i fitted new heat shield & induction kit it was absolutely boiling outside , but thought while im out ill put my gutter strips back in ? " i'd removed them because was going to carbon wrap my roof " but they would not go back properly as id broken a few of the clips when i removed them anyway i was gettin hotter and hotter , more and more frustrated and so ...................i kind of...........................punched my scoob i then stood in disbelief staring at 4 nuckle dents above the rear door
i pulled back the roof lining to see if i could get access to the back of dent to maybe knock out ? but no chance !!! now got to fill and repaint it and hope i can t-cut to a decent finish ?? temper, temper

I had my brand new Bug WRX about 5 minutes and popped the bonnet to have a look and then close it again, dropped it a couple of times from about a foot and it wouldn't close so I decided to help it on it's way with a bit of a push...............dented the bonnet

those paintless dent removal guys can fix shallow dents like that as long as they can get behind.
lot cheaper than painting

They don't even need to get behind the dent anymore. They glue little tiny pins to the body and pull the dent out. Pin is then removed leaving no marks what so ever.

Why do people push bonnets?
You wouldn't shut your door by pushing it to and then closing it with a further nudge.

dont think you will be doing that again.
The colour is 02c which you can get online and poured into a rattler so you can finish the job yourself

Talking of bonnets, I gently push down on the leading edge of the bonnet's (facelift Classic) 'swage' lines, where they create points of strength/stiffness. So far, no dents (now worryingly runs outside to check.... )

Halfrauds is how they are affectionately known.
Last time i went to one which was a couple of weeks ago, i went up to the Parts desk and asked the guy for a Rocker cover Gasket for my one of my Cars and he looked at me Kinda sheepishly and said, "what's a Rocker cover Gasket"

To be fair, "rocker cover" is technically a term used for old OHV engines, where the cam was inside the block, driven off a gear on the dizzy, which in turn operated, via pushrods, the valve rocker gear in the head.

The modern term, for today's OHC engines (where obviously the cam/s is/are in the heads), is, appropriately, a "cam cover".

So, assuming the chap was a typically, low-attention threshold, disinterested 18-25yo, then the term "rocker cover" was probably alien to him.

That said, Halfrauds is well gay.... Well, apart from its tools section lol
