Guys with a standard uk wrx 225BHP fitted with a Blitz nur spec cat back system and k&n panel filter what would the estimated power be ie. would the fitting of the exhaust / k+n filter give much more over the standard figure off 225BHP ??

the blitz nur spec exhaust comes with a bung which is said to cut down the noise to neighbour friendly levels !! do you loose anything in terms off power with the bung fitted and just how loud is this exhaust with / without bung ??

Cat back/Panel Filter or not power will be same in my view,maybe few bhp,but nothing massive.

Your power holding mainly Catted DP and Catted up pipe,definitely if you are replace these with decated items and remap and after this you will see bigger increase bhp.


About the Nur Spec,is loud with bung,without the bung is louder,about the power yes bung have(on some cars) impact on power.

Okay cheers mate kinda expected they would give a healthy increase on there own but guess the noise created by the Nur spec more than makes up for it !!

funny have heard different things regards this exhaust when used with the bung, some say its not far away from the sound off a Prodrive but guess folk have different opinions off just how loud actually is loud !!

Nur spec with bung are still bloody loud, without the bung they are just ridiculous.

You would need a re-map to see the benefits of any mods remember chap.

Hi there

Try remove baffle(Bung) and run few hours,i love it few months,but later has been little bit OTT(at morning 4am has been stupidly loud) or track days you have problem to enter with Nur Spec

Okay finally got my first scooby complete with the above Blitz Nur Spec cat back exhaust, after hearing the above was a bit wary that the exhaust would just be too noisy to comfortably live with but sorry guys but with the bung fitted cant say that its over the top and certainly not any loduder than any other wrx I have heard fitted with an aftermarket exhaust its probably just about right for a scooby brings out the rumble perfectly !! saying that wont, repeat wont be removing the baffle, even the original owner advised against it !!

does removing the cats on the car make the noise a lot louder ??

yea it will make it louder.
Iv got a exhaust from the downpipe back (centre cat removed) and it cant really feel a great different.
Having said this, i believe scoobyworld did some tests on a rolling road which showed a 22bhp gain (cat back, centre decat and panel filter)
