Default SPEC-C 01-05 prices

How much are spec-c's at the moment?
Are single scroll and twinscroll cars comparable?

How much für a normal J-spec sti?

Where to buy? there aren't much on Pistonheads at the moement

regards

Spec C's usually go for good money as the yen is/used to be strong vs the £. They are hard to find only because there's not many in the UK.

There are no my01 spec c's, the my02's are single scroll vf34 cars, the twin scroll cars are my03 onwards.
If you go bug then I would look for an s202, these are 320ps out of the factory, rare though and avoid badly modded examples.
The twin scroll cars are great, still hold their money well but if you import your going to pay over the odds, look for one in the UK and save some cash and hassle.

s202 is too hardcore as it is my daily/weekend/track car.
maximium should be a spec-c.
how much do s202's go for?

look wise i prefer the bug models. are the 03 onwards cars really that much better?
is the bug moddable to get to this performance?

apart from the steering wheel i prefer the bugs all the way.

Original bug lightweight was a continuation of the RA (Race Altered) from the classics.......but was a bit of a poor effort and was soundly slated so was dropped from the range pretty quickly. Subaru got their act together and created the Spec C (Competition) with more weight loss and better kit

Yes there was. The bug STI Type RA was pretty much a regular JDM STI with a few amenities removed. The bug STI Type RA Spec C was the real deal. 90kg lighter, more castor, better tyres etc.

S202 then if you prefer bugs:

S202 is no more hardcore than a Spec C imho (I owned a MY05 Spec C a few years ago). Send a PM to Cannon Fodder as he owned a S202 a while back.

Spec C's are JDM models so easily modable to 350-400hp for a few £k.

Not a bug spec c . The models after, yes. S202 doesn't as well.

That Blob Spec C seems to have a Hawkeye rear end including rear wide track arches, bumper & tail lights as mentioned. Also the few other dodgy bodywork mods puts me off

The S202 at £12k sold seems a bit over priced IMO

But Bugeye(V7) Spec C are two models 16" which have Subaru 4pots calipers and 17" which have Brembo Calipers.

They only came with the standard 100PCD not the later 114.5. It's all raw and about weight.
