Default Is my car an import or other !

I recently bought my 2nd STI after selling my Bob Rawle mapped 05 car a year ago

its a 54 (Nov2004)reg car but '05 spec, different dash, DCCD and slightly different rear arches for the wider track, what i have noticed is there is a 3-4 inch piece of vinyl on the passenger side of the rear wheel arch as per the pre facelift cars and i haven't seen it another face lift car 54 reg or 05 with the vinyl on ?

The log book most definately says it is a Type UK (just doubled checked), it was supplied by Sparshatts originally i think ? has FSSH and everything seems in order....have i got an import ?

Could it be it was just one of the very first 05 spec cars, i think the manual is slightly different from my other one, could in be an Import Any thoughts on the mystery vinyl greatly received

Very happy to be back in an STI currently standard at the mo, well until Saturday when the H&S 3" full decat goes on along with other bits n bobs then its off to Surrey RR to meet Mr Simon Roe )

Sounds like a type UK, if it were a jdm car then it wouldn't have kmh/mph speedo, would have auto I/c spray, rear wiper, no burble and no crappy Subaru lettering in the boot

The usual culprit is the rear wash / wipe which is a Jap thing. People change a shed load of kit but it's very unusual to stick a Jap rear screen in a UK car.

My car (02 bug) has had a lot of mods and from a lot of angles could look like a Jap STi....apart from the rear wiper LOL

I think you're right, the parallel import giveaway is the colour of the service book. That's how I found out my last WRX was, the local dealer enlightened me lol

If I remember rightly DCCD was an option on MY05 cars in europe as well. I remember seeing a few for sale without it ....
