Default ignitionmotorsport.com any good for clutch?

this garage in pangbourne berkshire are offering the following:

exedy fast road clutch
inc fitting while you wait for £350.00

my usual specialist cant get near that, it does seem a bit cheap for a clutch - i know fitting can be a pain.

anyone know them or think its possible that it would all be ok?

i need a clutch quite badly and have had some shocking quotes (up to £1k)

i'd usually take it to eurospec but it'll be £350 + clutch cost.

cheers.

to be fair the labour should be no more then 200 pound i mean when i first had my scooby me and my mate change the clutch on my classic in three hours which by most no dealer garage is around 40-60 pound per hour =vat and the exceedy clutches are going quite cheap at the mo loads of places selling them for the 250 mark, but if a garge wanted to charge me more then 200 labour i would laught in there faces and and walk of

As above £150 to £200 for labour + clutch cost, is the going rate.

no offence but is highly unlikely they are putting a "pink box" exedy clutch in for that money...............
there are numerous people selling spurious kits or simply mis-describing kits that are simply std OE at most

I had them do my clutch on my classic and couldn't fault them.
I had an oe spec exedy clutch fitted with a lightened flywheel from lateral.

I use them for everything I can't do myself on my scoob, very reasonable costs and colin is very knowledgeable.

+1 to the above,
Always used Colin for all my scooby needs, he knows all there is to know about our precious machines, what he doesn't know isnt worth knowing!!
Plus he rallies his own 2 scoobs, not only a one trick pony !!!!

why should i get that done? what would that improve?

the one issue i have had with this car is the clutch, its very heavy and not a smooth change due to a long throw. its probably due to the fact that the clutch needs changing or that im used to the short shifter on my other car.

Nearly everyone will have the flywheel skimmed to avoid the dreaded clutch judder with a new clutch.

The standard clutch master cylinder has a damper, with an uprated clutch exedy recommend the damper is removed, the clutch is then much more direct.

I've used Colin at ignition & found him very knowledgeable & helpful.

Gave me a detailed overview on how to change my rocker cover gaskets & cambelt recently as well.

Oh also forgot he did my clutch recently as well, also did rear main oil seal, stering rack gaters, reset my tracking & got it MOT'd for £500 all in.

Next nearest quote came in at £700 without the MOT..
