Timing belt corner guides!
My car has no history so I've done a full cambelt kit change. Previous owner said it was done 2 years ago but couldn't trust this with no history. As it happens it has been changed! But at least I know now when and its a full kit!
However the corner belt guides are missing, all 3 are identical I think and all 3 missing! The curved one is present!
How important are these and what the hell do they really do? Finding replacements could be tricky and its survived not having them thus far!
Could I make my own?
What do you guys think you'd do if it was your car?

My Impreza doesnt have them and from timing belts I've done the only cars I've had them on have been Foresters so not sure if they've been removed from Impreza's I've worked on but they've all worked fine without them
Thanks! Maybe an age thing? It definitely has the mounts for them! Mine is a 53 blob Sti!
It would be nice not to have them though, I could put it back together tomorrow and have my first drive lol.
I'm guessing the idea of them is to stop the belt jumping teeth under extreme conditions!
