All joking aside welcome, prepare for no monies in your wallet and sleepless nights.
Has the engine been left alone?
Oh and nice oldschool fords btw

With the roof flap it could be one of a few limited editions. Post the model code from the plate on top of the strut in the engine bay and you will find out what it is!

Model GC8C4ED is that what we need? . old Fords? omg dont get me started we have 7 of them! Hubbys passion, we got ones with pintos ones with cossie engines and ones with v6 and turbos! not saying money isnt an issue we just seem to spend it on the wrong things! though we are not paying road tax on our fords as all classed as historical. The Scooby is my thing, ive had 5 Celicas and fancied a change. I was going to get a Supra but this came up for a bargain price and fell in love with it!
Thank you for all the welcomes, we will be looking at what we can do to the scooby to "improve" it advice always welcomed but being a girl i probs wont listen! haha.
Engine appears untouched,we have the original lights, but no fog light being import, we also have the original gold alloys which will go back on it. car is still restricted, so will probs be the first job and to swap the lights

oh and another thing whats thinking on wind deflectors? person opinions? as im not keen and have wind noises in the car from door corners. just above the wing mirrors. i thought it may be the wind deflectors causing it? and as from pic you can see one is knackered and ive looked for another one but had no luck.

Welcome
I think it's a version 3 wrx.I'm not the only one that's got a Supra urge.
A little tip if you wanted to use the standard back lights.I put a red bulb in one of the reverse lights and hooked it up to a switch.Saves having a square block stuck to the bumper.
Danny.

Thank you for the link, some stunning pics thank you Danny hubby says he can do that, although i think the lexus lights are rather pretty, but have read a few threads now and seems the words chavvy and lexus lights go hand in hand! thanks for all the info, I still need to read up a bit more I think. we have dipped rear windows for it which we were going to put in and having seen a pic from the link have decided I like the look of them. so we will keep a pile of all our original bits in the garage.
is the spoiler not original then? are they hard to come by? I confess I like mine but although I like to play about with them I like the original bits put by incase lol
oh andddddd what can i do about the number plate? as I'm driving about without a front one lol cos I didnt like it it was too big can we get away with smaller ones or even a vinyl one?

Welcome, loving the cortina's fantastic old barges, brings back fond memories of an old girlfriend of mine, her dad had one a mk3 if memory serves me right, was a long time ago and it was a bit old then, and a right rust bucket.
It was his pride and joy and i was the only person he ever let drive it, because i would stand around looking at every curve and the lines, as would he,the rest of the family would look at the pair of us standing there saying to each other look at this bit and that bit, they thought we were mental, nothing like a bit of car ****.
I bet you know all about that though
Think you will find that the cortina's are better on fuel than the scoob.
Take your time and ask questions before you do any mods, only use v power fuel / tesco momentum, but i'm sure you know that, as you have been lurking and reading for a little while i'm sure.
Loose the lights the standard ones do look better especially, if you can find a set of newer sti ones, white at the bottom instead of red.
Oh has hubby got one with an old v4 transit engine in? lol

Thanks Ditchmyster, Yeah i have been lurking a bit lol but I don't understand a lot of the technical stuff which is why the Scooby is "ours" cos I will def need hubbys knowledge with the tinkering side of things, We have been advised to leave it as it is, but i would like to derestrict it at least cos although its quick, at top speed we still get caught up eventually by the saxo brigade! we are using tesco momentum and she runs brilliantly on it she wasn't on it before we got her and its made a big difference. oh and another scoobie driver waved at me the other week I was so chuffed!
Hubby loves his corties we only have mk3s some original most of them are not they are like lego cars! everything is bolt on and offable lol, i have a mK3 estate with a cossie engine in it, hubby is doing her up for me
