I need more horses
I've got an 05 PPP WRX which i reckon is about 265bhp but i want more.....lots more lol
No seriosly though, i'd like to get it to 300 but i'm on a tight budget.
What's the quickest, cheapest way to gain about 35 horses under the bonnet?

Cheers Wilky!
That was a stroke of luck, seems to have all the info i need.
I will have to google it all though as it is all just words and numbers to me, i'm completely clueless what goes on under the bonnet.
One last question - people mentioned to stay away from e bay... that was gonna be my first port of call if im honest lol.
Are they not good parts on there?

Even if that were a genuine turbo (which is won't be) the 20G is TOTALLY the wrong turbo for your power aspirations.
If you want a better set up than you have now
-Decat exhaust (prodrive one isn't the best)
-Decent panel filter (K&N and Simota are good)
-Walbro fuel pump (Your one might be tired)
-Ecutek remap.
But you're limited by the TD04, which usually tops out at 280bhp
If you want 300 you're looking at a TD04 hybrid, but I'd go with a VF34/35 and go for 320+
At that level it's also wise to consider upgrading to the STi intercooler.

I am sure if you just add sti pink injectors and a used vf35 from a 2.0 sti then go for a remap you would clear the 300bhp with your downpipe in place, but a used ppp sportcat would be an improvement over this, intercooler would help a bit as well but depends what you want from the car, If 300 is your goal then just change the minimum required to achieve it,

What turbo does the 05 WRX have - TD04L? I'm not sure?
If so, then change to a VF28 - cracking spool up and can get to 330 (with all other appropriate supporting mods of course). Pick up decent 2nd hand ones for no more than £200...
That said, a VF35 or 34 is very similar spooling, but both can make 340+ to boot...
