Wink HOW MUCH IS MY CAR WORTH :D

I've always wanted to do one of these threads

Right I've had an offer for my Car but things are going a little slow so untill money is in the Bank I'm keeping my options open and still advertise it.
This is it a few months ago with the Gold 17's on it, I will get some updated Pictures with 18"s ASAP

Some details

This Car HAS been on the Track but it has been Serviced regardless of cost.

I do drive it quickly and as a result goes exceptionally well compared to some other type 20's I've tried. A recent compression pressure check on all cylinders really suprised Iain Litcho, he said they were best he'd seen regardless of the milliage. Pootling about in these Performance engines is not the best way to treat them IMHO.

You can drive it as hard as you like, Any Test, this is not like some 2.5ltr 7,000rpm UK cars which Subaru UK De-tune to 6,500rpm to prevent "Ring Land failure" and head Gasket issues.... You WIL be impressed.

OK no engine is bullet proof but the JDM 2.0ltr unless you ABUSE the engine, it should last 5 more years without a rebuild, it's strong as an OX it's NOT a UK Hawkeye 2.5ltr. The STD UK 2.5ltrs struggle to get over 370bhp reliably but loads of JDM's are running 400 to 500bhp on the standard internals no problems. Say no more and hence they are the engines of Choice

Spec is a Litchfield Hawkeye Type 20
December 2005 private Plate not included

JDM STi
2.0ltr engine
8,000 rpm
Twin Scroll Turbo 350/350 bhp
800cc injectors

Quick rack

zeon lights

Red Defi Style sweep Dash

AST's, Uprated A/Roll bars, Anti lift kit
Miltek 3" Sports Cat Exhaust
18" x 8.0" Team dynamics wheels
New Falken Tyres
Recent front disc's
Carbon friction Pads front & Rear
Blue wing repeaters

Pioneer Sat Nav and 6 Disc changer (if required)
Recent AST's Complete overhaul
Tapered AST rear Spring unpgrade

32,439 miles

MOT December
Taxed April 2012 (£260)

2 owners from new, I have owned it since March 2006 @ 1200 miles ish, Always used on Optimax or SUL if none available. This car is remapped to run on 97 octane fuel but will run on 95 octane "to get you to home" as long as you dont boot it, cheap fuel normally means an early death of a Scoob

It has had one very minor bump on front bumper, a Blind git caught a stupid low post. As you can see the damage was not that great and the bumper has now been repainted. Please dont comment on my bug cleaning skille this was taken after a 200 mile journey back home :getmecoat:

Full service history above what is required. There are even a few other Oil changes done in-between I don't have reciepts or make note of miliage for these. Here are the ones I have records for most are Iain Litchfields or Power Station.

1000m first owner
2,561m 5k service
3,044m Oil Change
6,255m 10k service (12 months)
8,192m 5k service
11,762m oil change
13,301m 10k service
15,215m 5k service
18,074m Oil change
19,368m 30k service
20,676m Oil change
21,925m 5k service
23,019m Oil change
24,985m 10k (48 months)service
25,801m Oil change new clutch and flywheel
27,158m 5k service, new LM400 turbo & AST overhaul
29,137m 50k (60months)service Cambelt, New Downpipe and exaust manifold gasket
32,000 LM400 Turbo removed 5K service

So give me an Idea of what i should advertise it for

Tony

Thanks more like it I was getting worried but understand what it's worth and How much people are will to Pay are two very different things

There aren't that many 2.0ltr JDM Hawks around as the Uk's hawk is a 2.5ltr hopefully I'll get more interest.

Put it up for 16k but would of thought an offer of 15k would take it away. Think that's about what calum got for his may be wrong so don't quote me on that. Litcho have one up for 17k with one of thief new turbos, injectors etc plus will come with a warranty from them so would of thought minus the mods and warranty and 15k cash would be a fair price on the day.

Best of luck with it what ever you do

One at litchos has 44k on the clock if the warranty is thirdparty not sure how it will work with mods wouldn't it be void?

Or is it a Litcho warranty?

glen,

Yes a Saloon

I tried the Hatch320R and their 370bhp Saloon.

The std 320R Hatch on 18"s was quiet flat and body roll was quite noticable compared to my Type 20. But It was still better than some hatches I've driven. The SIDC Photographer in the Back struggled to get any pics on their test track as being thrown around bouncing and swaying.

The saloon 370R with 19", brake upgrade and Coilovers Was much nearer the money it definately was more comfortable at ALL speeds and much more stable at high speeds. IMHO

If a:

Spec C is worth £18k
JDM STI is worth £16k

A Type20 will be somewhere in between imo.

Are you sure you're doing the right thing with the 2.5 though?

It goes like a rocket any test, you wont drive it harder than me Most people I've taken in my car have well impressed.
The way I read that it's had a hard life so would avoid, unless the price reflected it of course

I know where your coming from but maybe not came out the way I meant.

Although I'm honest and it HAS been on the Track. I always change Oil after a Trackday, I didn't buy a scoob to drive like Miss Daisey!!!

The 2.0ltr JDM will take 500bhp and still have a long life, mines never had a head gasket failure or ring land failures unlike the 2.5ltr IMHO

There is a difference between driving it hard and abuse. My average oil change is about 1,500 miles some times less. Always warmed up cooled down, Always Optimax or SUL Fuel etc.

if this was a 2.5ltr I wouldn't ever mention using the Throttle or even starting the engine LOL

So why you buying a 2.5 then?

Anyway there might be a JDM saloon on the way to the UK soon.

don't think Tony likes the hatch ,but I know I'd rather have a hatch spec c to potter about in than a UK sti. Then again I would say that because I've got one for sale
