I'd only buy that if I was collecting them, no other reason.

Haha, looks like it was styled by a drunk five year old. 9k ? Must be joking.

If i put a crap body kit from halfords on my car it will also make it unique, but would i dare ask 5 times the price of the same scooby without a body kit for it ?

Harsh but fair I'm afraid - it's a hideous car.
S202 or S203....but NOT that - in car terms it's a proper minger!

No wonder they cant sell them, they have had those cars for years, and will have them for years to come. What were they thinking of, buying $hite like that.

I think it's more than styling that seperates it from another Scooby of that era!

Wikipeda:

S201 STi (2000)

Subaru Tecnica International started the S-series of special Imprezas. This series is a limited production series that sports an engine output of greater than 280 PS (210 kW; 280 hp) [had 224 kW (305 PS)] (special variant cars were excluded from the gentlemen's agreement). The car was decked with nearly every single part from the STi catalogue.

The S201 was a 4-door STi that sported the only body-kitted S-series WRX STi. It had a tri-planar wing and a massive front airsplitter. The entire suspension was composed of STi parts.

There were 300 S201s produced, they used a VF28 spec turbo, with max boost at 1.2 BAR and produced 224 kW (305 PS) and 353 Nm, weighing in at 1270 kg these are a highly desirable variant.

Not too keen looks wise, but reading the Wikipedia review it's a serious car under the horrible bodykit.

yeah it does seem like it will drive well.. but you could buy a classic sti and make it drive even better for less, guess its the rareness and out the box performance that bumps up the price

The S201 produced 280ps, no 300 ps, no 305ps etc, it ran the same ecu as the v5/v6 cars, no tweaks, if you were lucky they hit 290bhp, now if you wanted a car with more power then its the S202, find a good one and keep it, they were 320ps out of the box and the first subaru to exceed the 280ps japanese gentlemens agreement

Do you mean that variant or that actual car?

I think the same firm has a black V5 Type R for £4.5K - looks really nice in the pics. Black V5/6 Type R would be my wishlist classic.

That variant - the S201.
The body kit is, in a word stupid - just stupid .
Even back in the 90's that was still terrible looking if you compare it to the old Dimma styled Pugs you used to see.

Classic Type R's, P1's et al I think look really good in standard trim - just not with a body kit like that strapped to them
