Default Servicing Fluids.

Can someone tell me or point me to a list of what fluids my 53 plate (Type UK) STI PPP will need. Its a Blobeye. I don't have any service records or paperwork with it at all. So I don't know what the manual says!

I will be getting the full cambelt kit, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter. I will likely get the Millers CFS?? 10w40 fully synthetic oil. I think these are all fairly straight forward on the JapImports site. Probably leave the plugs as its only done 53k miles.

However what other fluids will I be changing and what do I need?

Coolant, diff oil, gearbox, brake fluid etc...

Thanks

Yeah I will do minus plugs but I don't know what some of the fluids should be. Obviously engine oils are always debatable!

OK thanks for that, I'll go have a look now. I guess coolant and brake fluid are no brainers but gear oil I will need to know!

So 75w90 does that sound right to another owner? And I'd need 5 litres for the change. I will likely get Millers! Will the cheapest do? That still weighs in about £50!

Oils do my head in really, you can get the expensive ones that are good for pushing hard but then are they worse for daily driving times!? You need a bloody degree in the things to pick the right ones!

I will probably need more than 5 litres too for doing gearbox and diffs!

i put 5w40 fully synth for the engine oil as advised by most people on here. The gearbox oil you have sounds about right running these cars are not cheap you soon discover even when you stay away from main dealers.

I use Millers CFS 10w 50 for engine and CRX 75w 90 for transmission, have done for four years in 04 jdm STI.
