Default new boy!

hi, just purchased my first scooby. had her about 2 weeks now and am loving it!

think i got a pretty good deal. found a one owner, 52 plate wrx, 45000 miles and got it for £5000. its like brand new!

iv always been a clio sport man, had a 182, then a 197, but felt like growing up a bit and always fancied the turbo and awd on a scooby!

its completely standard as you can see, i got a couple of plans for it, exhaust has gotta go....im not fussed on performance as im 24 and insurance is already steep, just want something a little louder but not ott!

Also toying with the gold wheel look, but not sure yet.

...and id jizz all over an sti spoiler too. but thats about it!

let me know what you think. cheers.

erm heres some pics of my old clio if anyones interested...

but yeah, heres the scooby,

Those 197's are great little cars, how does the change to a wrx compare?!

a nice subtle backbox (Hayward and Scott group n etc)and a subtle drop would set her off nicely. keep the wheels silver or go for an anthracite imo

oh and welcome!

cheers guys!

Its pretty hard to compare the two as theyre completely different. Your right tho, the 197 was an ama!zing car. miss it so much and always will. really fun little car.

Can definately feel the difference from awd and a turbo.

And the main thing i feel is the clear divide between an everyday car tuned up to be a little racer, and then a pure bred for racing car made into an everyday car!

Im with ya on the back box. still undecided on wheels. maybe go black yet too....dunno!

Looks like a nice clean example. I've only had mine about 5-6 weeks and I'm still in awe at how bonkers these cars can be!

Oh and Welcome to the forums!

Welcome, your car, your rules. I've got a prodrive backbox with a sports cat. Sounds awesome but not too loud. I would definitely recommend it to others. My opinion on the wheels would be black. Do what you want though as you're the one paying for it.

If you want a bit more noise (deep burble, and then a lovely tune on the way up through the revs) without compromising the foundations of your house every time you turn the prezy on, you may want to consider an 'Afterburner' mid section and 'Ninja II' back box, as part of a cat back system.

Very pleased with the one I have.
