Default Bug to Blob change over year.
I'm hunting a cheap Bug WRX to replace my classic (which is getting retired to the track ) as my daily. What was the rough date of change over from bug shape to blob shape?
Reason is I've just spotted a Bug on an 03 plate. Not seen one after 52 before
I'm assuming its one that had been gathering dust in a compound for a while before being registered!

Probably just left sitting before being registered, bugs are 2000 - 2002 so to have one on an 03 plate makes it one of the last

Yeo would have said 2002 but seen a 2003 one advertised just the other day, certainly cant be many 2003 bugs around !!!

Traditionally the impreza manufacture year over in Jap land is October to October so the Bug would have been oficially taken over by the Blob in October 2002 after the Paris Motor show and been on sale in the UK February 2003

Hmm... is it a Juggers / Immy / special by any chance ??

Like PS Lewis and Leslie I'm getting on a bit but did you have a half red and half white classic ?? Blimey that was a nice car

There used to be another guy on here who worked at autoglass. Think his post name was something like Beareo.
