Default JDM STI

I went for a ride in a JDM Bugeye STI wagon tonight , all I gotta say is that car makes my Blobeye sti type uk ppp feel extremely slow . Now I know what the JDM fuss is all about!

But a bug-eye should be almost identical from the factory... VF 30 in place of a VF35 IIRC

Apart from the top two gears being lower...

Be aware that if it has been mapped it will seem way quicker, as they pull to the limiter with far more enthusiasm.

I also heard that bugeye's don't come with twinscroll, it was blobeye's where it started from.

Oh, is that right? I'd assumed Bugeye / Blobeye were the same in that respect - I stand corrected!

Was the Bugeye wagon running some cheeky engine mods perhaps then?

I'm not an expert like tony but its was a JDM Bugeye wagon on a 51 plate with redline at 8200 equal length headers and clocks are in KM not MPH , whether its mapped or standard I don't know just pulls so much harder than my car.

You need to try a twinscroll then as they are superb but I am biased as I own one and the power delivery puts a STD uk car to shame. Don't think I will have a uk car again. The sound is also awesome once you get used to it.
