Default Front mount Intercooler

Hi guys i just bought a 96 type r v limited and i want to purchase a front mount intercooler for it i was wondering if anyone could guide me as to which one i would need to buy please?

96 type R V limited ???? You sure.

Agree. Thought the type R V-Limited was a 1997 V3?? IIRC there was a 1996 V-Limited STI V3.

I'm 99% certain the type R was released in late Jan of 1997. It was a V3 type r and available as STI V3 type R or STI type R signature edition. The first V limited type R wasn't available until the version 4.

Oh well its a 96 and its the wrx with the sti engine and lightweight bonnet etc??

1996 STI V2 by the sounds buddy. Has it got early classic front end, horizontal slatted bonnet grills.

More to the point, why do you think it NEEDS an FMIC? And do you know that if you do so, you'll need the map tweaked?

Yeah I got someone who.will map it erm well its got the 1995 winners badges in seats and on the back
