Cheers Rob

Was a very interesting car to map - dont see VF35s on 2.5 engines very often and a very torquey car to drive - the acceleration was brutal

See you at Brands mate

It was turned down 'a little' after that map/dyno run to save the clutch but on the road it is brutal

it is pretty savage in all fairness

Had a go over the weekend against mate james bike, its only a 600cbr but it done pretty well against it.. obviously need a bit more power before i go racing other bikes (not on public roads of course ).. but i reckon ill sit with unfaired factory 600cc bikes

I am jealouse mate!! 425 lbs/ft torque! That's more than or at least equal to a Type 25 from Litchfield. What part of your system do you think is allowing it to achieve such high power/torque? I reckon it must be down to your sports cat. I am seriously considering one now (~£500 is a big wack but worth it if I could see your kind of numbers).

Have you recently changed your plugs or were they unchanged? I recently had my 30k mile service done by a main dealer before I bought my car and was wondering if mine had been changed or whether they would make a huge difference to my power output if they werent.

I was wondering where is a good place to get a panel filter, and ideally quickly as I have a rolling road session this Saturday morning? I doubt it would make any difference to my power without a remap. Also, is my car likely to run lean without a remap after fitting just a panel filter?

Well done to both you and Duncan. Duncan mapped mine a couple of days ago and I am so happy with it. Thanks again. It is sooooo smooth now and such a dream to drive and pulls like a train when it comes on boost. I just want it to be savage like your's Rob I can see a sports cat or decat coming my way soon (I may not tell the wife!) and then another remap by Duncan!

matt - the torque is because the vf35 is still a small turbo on the 2.5 and spools up immensely early and with boost at such lows revs it equals torque. It tails off a lot earlier than your bigger vf43 though.

I think I was editing my post at the same time you posted Duncan. Just saying thanks again for Monday. It is so smooth to drive now and I'm very pleased with it. My wife loves it too (when I let her drive it ). It has made such a difference.

matt, i tried not to rush mine in getting parts if that makes sense

i found just-subaru.com or co.uk excellent with parts etc, the panel filter came from them.

Although any uprated panel filter is just as good, the blue cosworth ones are virtually identical to the KnN

as duncan said the torque drops of at the end of the rev range but just change up before i get to that point and shes off
