Default A Tenner well Spent

I had a couple of jobs to do on the car, for which I needed to release the handbrake to enable me to complete them. Obviously I had the car in gear whilst using the scissor jack, but I wanted it as secure as possible so looked around for some wedges, then came up with these which are spot on. The car simply will not wander, even in neutral while on these.

Yes I could have used axle stands and better jacks, but for a tenner these are damn useful and having driven the car on and off them a few times, I can see they'll last for years of use. They also have screw down anchoring points if required. I got them from my local caravan/camping retailer.

You're really using a widow maker?!

Dear god, buy yourself a trolley jack and some axel stands. They're cheaper than death

My dad always taught me to stick the wheel you have taken off under the rear sill (like bugeyejohn) if the car dropped off.

2nd that, i would never trust my snap on trolley jack on it's own let alone a 2 bob scissor jack
