the what's coming next and still to come bit's must have taken up almost 5 minutes...
i neither care for nor want a jeep
why was the evo vii always coming up but not the sti vii
vbh the only redeeming feature and the sti is definately growing on me

Is it going to be repeated at all?
Just to reasure anyone who may have thought Im not a complete fool, I went and watched The Gift last night (good movie BTW), and left the video machine to record Top Gear, in the knowledge that they were running that test.
Well, imagine my joy when I got home to find half an hour of "The Real Cracker", and I dont even like the false Cracker!!
So yes, I taped channel 4, instead of 2, and now want to watch the only decent (from the sounds of it) Top Gear we've had in ages.

So, Top Gear is good again because an STi is better than an Evo VII

More footage was shown of the Jeep, and yes, there are people out there who probably buy them. Along with the Nissan Figaro.
Top Gear. Whichever Gear suits your disposition would be a more apt title.

Come on VBH looked like a dog.
Hardly any make up, she looked ruff, old and haggared - in fact I thought she looked like Camilla Parker Bowles!!!
Was a good feature on the evo and sti though, but they usually are when Tiff's doing it. They should make him the new main presenter, it would be much better.

Was really looking forward to the Scooby and Evo reviews, then watched it. Very dissapointed, not enough time spent, more time spent on the Jeep and the Nissan! Maybe when the 'official' Evo VII is available they will redo a test, who knows. It should have been a full 10 mins or so , reviewing the new Scooby and the VII with some comparison driving of the old Evo VI and Scooby VI. There is just no real excitement or 'red bloodedness' to TG anymore, real shame :-(

My problem with Top Gear is that the now lead presenter (what ever his name is) appears not to know anything about cars. Jeremy C was a motoring journalist long before Top Gear. Vicki was a racing driver. As was Tiff (F1 even). And Quantin was a car dealer (where is he?)
The programme is now so bad. Why is Vicki getting all the naff stories about petrol and Hyuandia people carriers (anyone interested in that will surely not be watching Top Gear so why have it?). And Tiff still drives the nice cars but now only gets 2 minutes at the end.
Answer? I reckon the BBC have slashed the budget or they would have hired a known presenter to replace Jeremy and Quantin.

The one to look out for is the top gear GTi on sky. Usually runs a little behind the beeb progs, but the articles are longer.
I think I may have it on vid, god I hope so seeing as I couldnt watch it live.

Finally - other people who do not see the appeal of VBH - thought that i was the only one!
Could not agree more, never seen the appeal of VBH - always looks dog rough and like she's bin chasing the dragon.

OK, you guys have to help me out a bit here ...
With my limited understanding of the English language, I picked up:
. EVO7 has much better turn-in
. EVO7 has a nice electronic centre diff that you can play with (tarmac/gravel/snow)
. EVO7 has more low down grunt
. EVO7 doesn't look like a frightened bunny (may have misunderstood that one though
)
. EVO7 doesn't need a posh 6-speed heavy gearbox to put that grunt on the road
. STI7 is a bit on the understeery side
. STI7 has a bigger fuel tank
CONCLUSION
Tiff seems to prefer the STI.

Tiff himself said that it was not a real test of either machine, so maybe he went for the one thing which he commented on - he preferred the interior aesthetics of the STI to the Evo.
Hardly the reason that most people will buy either of those cars for.
Personally I just took it as a chance to see the cars and didn't take any notice of what he preferred as he never really tested them properly.
Hey - it's just an opinion right....
Personally, I still think the Evo VII looks better than the STI, but I think that the R35 Skyline is way ahead of both of them in the looks department. mmmmm.. R35

Top gear..not like it used to be.....Impreza pig ugly..right on both counts. What is going on? And yes the new impreza may be a very good car but it's not a great car anymore, unless you're prepared to spend loads on it. I love imprezas believe me I've tried to love the new one, but I can't sorry

Ok Top Gear is Bad, looked like Tiff's report was badly edited, probably planned to be twice as long, then the producers decided that the Jeep and Nissan **** were too 'exciting' and people don't want to see tiff getting cars sideways. How wrong have they got it.
Personally I dont mind Jason Barlow (read him in Car, knows his stuff, just a bit new to TV I think). Don't like Adrain Simpson at all, Boring. We need some more personalities on TV, Clarkson and Quentin Wilson were great because they came across brilliant characters. VBH is a MINGER, but it doesn't really matter, (you've probably all learn't by now attractive women don't care about lift off oversteer) at least she likes cars and has some personality.
Looks like the Beeb have another agender with Tog Gear - maybe they are trying to make it more politically correct. It wold be nice to have some TV which looked at cars we were interested in. Seems a shame as surely viewing figures will drop for Top Gear, people like to see fast cars, it makes better TV than Hyundi MPV's.
As for Topgear GTi, seems like a lower budget longer Top Gear, some good bits, but mostly drivell, saw a great 10minute feature on a revised version of a Hyundi hatchback shed, apparently it still has drums at the back (hmm, nice).
So how about our own show (something about quick cars and associated matters), surely we can do a deal with one of the channels. I have 90 odd now, so plenty to choose from I guess.
