Default My Impreza Re-trim part 2.

Decided to try and do the roof lining, i don't think it has turned out to badly, i know its not the best job ever, but its a start, and its easy to remove and redo should i feel the urge to.

i ask you this......

why not?

Modding cars is all about making a car personal to yourself, some people strip and go for a track car, others leave totally standard and others to everything inbetween.

I do what ever i can to make a car personal to me. I 2toned my Astra Coupe, i pushed 300bhp out of an Astra SRi-Turbo on one off custom refurbed uber rare alloys. I fit v6 brakes to a 1.6 vectra just for the laugh.

My little girl likes the song, 'Twinkle Twinkle' and i like upsetting the whole balance of the car scene by doing stuff that no-one else would do.

Good work mate.

I'm not knocking you, but can i ask why you chose that type of pattern? I had better not let my eldest see this or shell have me doing the same ha ha.

lol no i'm not gay (well at least i don't think i am), i just like being different, and at the end of the day, its very easy to remove, the roof and the door panels. I think its pretty cool, my little girl loves it, the wife thinks i'm mad but likes it :-)

Excellent, would never have crossed my mind to to that but think it's great and more than likely unique. Headlinings have got to be one of the most uninteresting parts of any interior and you've made yours' interesting, well done .

It's not what I would of done but it's not my car. If you like it, fair play. And like you say, if it all comes off easy enough come re-sale time there's no probs.

It's also unlikely that anyone but you and passengers will see your work, so definitely a personal mod.

I rather like the LED footwell lighting that Subaru have a kit for, which I'm thinking of fitting on the cheap, to match red STI dials, but I guess some will be horrified :-)

Looks fantastically well finished.. I don't think is going to be many people's cups of teas but I think it's fantastic you're doing what you like and sod the consequences. Certainly looked personal to you!

I think we need a part 3 and on the final part a big shot of the interior of the car so we can see it in all it's glory :3.

I'm just waiting for the 'Twinkle Twinkle little star rally livery'

How's the headlining removed and replaced btw?

Is it just a few plastic clips, that you can reuse?
