Forester STI - Track days
Has anybody had any experience with a Forester STI on trackdays. I know Vicky Butler Henderson enjoyed it !!
I am now on the look out for a 2006 + model, I know Iain Litchfield has a few & Xtreme have one for sale but would love a Crystal Grey, standard, low mileage !!!
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I think you are talking about Dan aka 'Forester STI'
https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...sti-thanx.html
Well on the way to 500bhp now...
I also have an FSTI tho only done a track day in the wet so far, works pretty well.
Here is another vid of a more std FSTI at the nurburgring (has TEIN suspension this one I think).

As a track day car they are certainly useable for the odd one especially as a very practical day to day car. If track days are your thing then there are loads of other cheaper better options, I might go for a £3-4K classic and a diesel for every day if I can clear out my garage to store it.
Even with pretty firm low suspension you are sitting a fair bit higher than an impreza, say, and a lot higher than a Caterham! There is therefore less seat of the pants feel so you need to be far more confident than I am to get the best out of it. However, if your a decent driver there is loads of grip but it doesn't have the DCCD like the equivalent impreza STI so probably less adjustable overall.
Compared to all other practical family cars with decent carrying space it is probably the best track day tools there is!
