Default Centre cat Removal

Gonna "loose" my middle cat
Who's done this and what can i expect to gain and i take it by what i have read so far is that its ok for the mot as well so looks like a win-win situation.
Gonna leave the up pipe cat for obvious reasons
I already have a cat back Magnex so this should help it
i am already at 330 so whats the gains.......anyone

Anyone care to recomend what pipe

Ian

330 bhp with cats in place?? sti or wrx as I dont think the sti has a cat in the up pipe anyway also bugeyes have a resonator and a short cat pipe before the downpipe both can be deleted and remap not needed until downpipe is removed.

Well the whole issue came about when the dash light came on and the Snap on Fault code reader flagged up the cat. We managed to turn it of and from that point i have decided to delete it to free up some horses that may be getting strangled. well thats my excuse anyway
The Car is an bug eye STi Prodrive which are rated at around the 305 mark from the box and mine has been looked after and modded by Well Lane which consist of a Cat back Magnex,K&N Cone and a remap.

Bug prodrives are 260 standard and 305ish with ppp although mine before remap still gave 260bhp as the power figure even after the ppp upgrade

ok whatever, i am not getting into a cyber row over whos got what and whos not etc. I am only stating what i have and what to expect when removed. That sort of stuff goes on all the time on the other forum i use for my Sierra so i am simply not going to entertain it.
Cheers for your input anyway

I wasn't getting into a cyber row!? you asked for input so I bloody gave it!!!!

I merely gave you the correct figures so you could use that information to your advantage. I'm at a loss as to why you have your **** in your hand over it?
My comment on the PPP was basically to reinforce the reason for remapping as the ppp on bugs is crap! I gave you info on the exhaust system and anything after was just a bonus and may have proven useful.

You have to be carful removing the downpipe cat on the Bug STi, The VF35 turbo is quite punchy and a re-map is recommended as boost spiking is common. Well Lane used to "chip" their impreza's so I'm not sure what has been done to your ECU.

In anycase you will need to map out the P0420 CEL you will get removing the cat to which your Magnex is attached.
