Default TSl Grp'N' Vs MillTek

Does anyone know the volume levels/sound differences between the above.

I ran a decatted TSL Grp'N' for years on my Classic. Have now switched to a newage that's in need of more volume (currently PPP).

Tempted with a MillTek but don't want it to be to quite. Followed a resonated Milltek yesterday as was suprised just how quiet it seemed (although it wasn't driven hard).

For me the TSL on the Classic was perfect.

Your thoughts ?????

I would go for the TSL and get the tail pipe slashed as it sticks out to much. The miltek seem to have to many probs from what I've read on here.

Guess that was me you were following, If so mines sports catted in the mid section and on std headers (ported)! I had a TSL Group N backbox only on before and that was about the same volume as the full Decat Milltek.

Hi Nick,

No it was Tim on the way back, his is 3" decat with res in centre.

From what your saying, it sounds like the TSL is a touch louder ?

What probs/rumours are there on the MillTEK, thought they were quality.

I know from past experience that the TSL is a superb piece of kit.

I'm only comparing TSL Grp N back box only (rest of WRX system intact) with a full 3' Milltek with sports Cat and de-cat up pipe, I'd say the TSL was almost as loud as the Milltek, so a full grp N would probably be a bit louder. The Miltek is not quiet when pushing on!

Yes, I'm not gouing full 3" at the moment especially as there is confsuion about milltek interchangeablity.

I have been told the 3" Milltek fits the standard DP, but then read on the powerstation website and heard eleswhere that it doesn't.

Also the 3" Milltek is resonated, and not sure I want that.

So going to stick with 2.75" or 2.5"

Cheers for all your input guy's.

Gone for the TSL with a non-res centre......
On my classic (Green One) I had 4 rear boxes before the TSL.
Loved the TSL and kept it when sold the Green one and fitted to the Silver one for 8 years there-after.

So kinda makes alot of sense for me to stick one on the newage.
