Default Plasma Tv Question....

Got a Lg 50' tv ( new )

watching tv its fine and play xbox its fine...

but when the screen is black the right side of the screen is a slightly different shade of black to the rest...

someone has told me that its normal ?

it doesn't affect the picture only if the tv has no signal and its all black.

thanks

Mine looks the same all over the screen - Panasonic 46" about 3 months old.

Can you see the different shades if you watch a movie and have the black bars at the top+bottom?

It could be the screen itself, or it could be that it is receiving a signal that says - "make the right hand side of the screen not quite full black". As to what is causing this - maybe you have a duff HDMI cable, or maybe your input Xbox is still putting out a signal (noise) when actually it should only be putting out black.

So, does it do this whatever source is selected? Does it do this with no inputs, or HDMI cables attached? Maybe you can turn the brightness down a bit so you don't notice it.
