Ouch! Glad I sold mine when I did. They'll be worth nothing cars in that tax band in a few years unless they are prestige.

XRS,
That is strange..... it should of been £215. Just looked on the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry for mine and it still states nenewal is £215..... and that is on a 55 plate MY06 JDM.

Happy days for the JDM owners....... for once.

I had a quick flick through the Litchfield imports link on my phone but couldn't see any info on tax brackets. What's the deal with JDMs then?

The killer date is 23 Mar 2006 as after that cars fall in to the higher bandings. I'm guessing that the JDM cars noted above must pre-date that

So it's the same whether it's UK or JDM then? Maybe I misread some of the posts above which suggested ther was a difference

I don't know why they're mentioning JDM's either ... all in the same boat IMHO if you pre-date Mar 2006 you'll be in a lower bracket.

Probably because yours is correctly registered , I suspect some loopholes may exist regarding the registration process where JDM models are concerned .
I'm certainly not looking forward to paying £460 at the end of next month .
