A plan last year cost me £395 ,had 1 total loss last year,This year went with keith michaels ,quality service. Had a bloke drive into the back of me last thursday night ,damaging my bumper and smashing his wing, bonnet headlights, etc.Phoned keith michaels at 11.00am on the friday,by 13.00 I had been to see 2 vehicle accessors, and was booked in for some physiotherapy at a local clinic for an injury to my arm & shoulder 72 hrs later .My car is due in at the garage for repairs on monday and i have a courtesy car waiting for me ,when i drop mine off.
Nothing short of brilliant service.

I just try those comparison websites, find the cheapest and go to their actual website and re enter the info and it usually comes up cheaper.
Then check who is the underwriter.......in the case of the cheapest I had, the underwriter was Direct line so I went to them and got an even cheaper quote...happy days.

2006 Hawk WRX, Subaru Insurance who I've been with for years whacked it up to £608 for no apparent reason. Direct line quoted me 414.96 and got the business. I'm 49, 7 years no claims which would have been way more had I not been on a company car insurance prior to that.

keith michaels for me renewed for this week, Highly modded MY02 wrx 340bhp £725 8years NCB. Sky tried to do price match and did but why should i have to get them to match when Gary @ KM was good enough to give me the best price in the first place.

All insurance types have gone up - my house insurance has gone up by just under £100. Unfortunately it's the same for all types of insurance - we have to pay for the losses suffered due to false/inflated claims especially personal injury claims.
My insurance went up from £509 to £550, I tried A Plan and a few others and the most I could save was £15 so it wasn't worth the hassle and time to change from Keith Michaels.
Unfortunately we are all in the same boat.
