I bought a second hand throttle position sensor off a member on here after getting a fault 31, I fitted it last weekend and the Mrs has driven the car all week, I got in the car today and the cel light came on straight away with a fault 31 is the throttle position sensor anything to do with the idle switch?

When I fitted the tps I couldn't get the correct voltages for open and closed throttle but realised there was slack in the throttle cable which wasn't allowing full throttle so adjusted to suit.

Hope this all makes sense as Smirnoff is influencing my coordination.
