Default can this block be rescued?

Hi all,
Just taken the heads off this Ej20 to find this:

The engine has stood for too long I think as there was rust. Probly gasket failure which has led to this.

Can this damage be repaired?

As long as it hasn't been bored already then yes its ok to use and rebored to probably 93mm to be safe.
The machine shop would tell you if 0.5 or 1mm is needed though mate.

A rebore will be required as mentioned and new pistons will be required due to the rebore.
