Fronts and rears are iirc 13.5cm, which is a bit obscure. They are also, like many things Subaru, crap Especially classic UK Subaru
Mine now has 16.5cm 3-way fronts on home made mdf spacers. I used the template from the new speakers and the old speaker itself to mark the spacers, cutting out with a jigsaw. The mdf is 18mm and covered in 3 layers of paint. Invisible once the door card is on.
The rears are 6X9's, again 3-way, again mounted on home made, lozenge shaped mdf spacers, this time covered in cloth to match the rear parcel shelf, and bolted THROUGH the parcel shelf with stainless 40mm M5 socket headed screws and nuts, the nuts on the underside.
To fit the rears need the parcel shelf drilled and the weird shaped metal spacer removed before fitting the new speakers.
DON'T take recommendations from off here for what to buy. Do what you would do if buying a decent Hi-Fi: get to a dealer, (Halfords etc), do a blind listening test, and buy what you like the sound of. Off the net, not at Halfords 'prices
That's what I did, and mine are Sony front and rear.

As above, get what you like. I went for JL audio, just because they are very good and didn't cost to much, also went for a sub just to make it sound better. But not mega loud etc just to add the low to it.
Just enjoy it mate, that's what it's all about.

I've had infinity in pretty much all my cars, find them cheap and they sound really good for the money,im gonna go for components in the front and coaxials in the rear....I just hope they ain't too deep as can't be arsed with spacers but I'll just have to see when I get them

I've gone with Sony 3 way 13.5cm running front and rear off a sony head unit, and a sony explode amp and sub combo in the boot
Stealthy and no cutting of the interior
