Hybrid (HDi) from Harvey Smith is a good bet, other options would be hyperflow, APS or Perrin but they are all considerably more!!

450 on a bugeye might be asking for trouble.... especially if you have just purchased. Since you dont know the exact history of the car and all.

I have a bugeye sti, its currently running around 370. Very tempted to get the next set of parts to take it around 400-410, but I would call it a day at that.

Parts you will need (minimum):
turbo - Im running an Andy Forest 20g turbo and it should make the power I want.
fuel injectors - Im running 850s
fuel pump - walbro or similar
fmic - Harveys hybrid is well priced and good value - Im still on standard tmic
headers - Harvey - on my list of items to purchase
decat - maybe more than just a straight decat - Im running a scoobyclinic one
induction kit - Im running a panel filter - on my list of items to purchase
ecu remap or ecu

If I go for 400+ I will be going for a new ecu, purely for the additional features as the standard one is more than capable.

but you should also be considering:
suspension - I have BC coilovers, with front and rear anti roll bars, anti lift kit, drop links and a front strut brace
brakes - I can recommend PF discs with braided hoses, decent pads

Newage uk sti engines can take 450 bhp, fair enough life reliability is affected ever so slightly, i have plans of running 450, banny's running 522 on a sti 8 bottom end and i believe there is someone on here who is running 550 bhp. The op's car is a jdm, so it's engine is even stronger than the uk ones.

to answer the op's question, i have a japspeed fmic, as good as quality as say a hybrid, and considerably cheaper than a lot of it's competitors. Im not saying it's better than a HDI/Hybrid, but it's as good as.
