hey all im knew to this and am hopin to buy just a small 1.6 impreza to start off and am wondering where i can get a cheap one of these from and its gotta be a classic .. ive joined this site as i love impreza classics but am yet to have one so wanted some more knowledge of them also.. so if any1 can point me in the right direction to a cheap 1.6 classic wud be much appreciated

Can pick the basic ones up for next to nothing now buddy. eBay or piston heads are your best bet.
There are quite a few 'turbo lookalikes' around too.

Its a poverty spec car, gutless and probably will cost you a packet in insurance even though its a 1.6, I wouldnt touch one with a bargepole, either go straight to a 2ltr sport or just avoid until your older.
Also note that making a replica wrx WILL increase your insurance.

Even the 2ltr Sports are not that quick, a pre 99 one is 115bhp, the MY99/00 ones are 123bhp....
