Default Front Splitter WRX Blob

Are these the best splitters for a WRX Blob?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Are these easy to fit without having to raise the car?

Thanks

Ht autos i do believe to be one of the best that produce the splitter.
Fitting is as easy as you make it really.

As it is made from PU rather than fibre glass then will be best you can get without buying original, Fibre glass shatters to easy whereas PU will take a few scrapes without breaking,
The original one on my car is PU

I have a HTA splitter on my car, and they are really easy to fit, superb quality and do not require jacking up the car to get it on.

Do you need to drill any holes or does it attach to the existing holes under the front bumper? Also what is the basic tool set up I need?

Thanks

I fitted mine over 2 years ago with no problems. It comes with pre drilled holes that match those in your bumper, together with nuts and bolts. I drilled an extra hole on each corner at the front to prevent it from sagging. Still looks like new with a coat of Zymol tyre and rubber dressing.

i fitted mine on sunday, on an STi. i have also experianced a fibreglass one...please trust me...

DONT BUY FIBREGLASS !!! they dont fit properly (the one i got from ebay was a joke) and the finish was rubbish.
i then ordered one from HT autos, got it fitted in 10mins, and it looks the nuts!!! a perfect fit, heres a quick pic.

all the holes lined up perfectly, and was easy to fit. you just need to lay on the floor to fix a few of the bolts. no need to jack the car up.

Doe's anyone know where I can get a chargespeed one? I saw one on a Wrx and still think its the best I have ever seen.

It has slightly wider wings on the corners of the splitter which looks fantastic.

Are you saying Chargespeed is not worth it? I can understand that. It just seems like there are so many splitters for the Wrx either on ebay, scoobyclinic, HTA and others that its hard to find which one is best.

They all look the same so does everyone seem to feel HTA has the best splitters? What about Scobyclinic who get alot of attention from us. How do their front splitter match up?

Thanks

This is my logic:

I am a carbon man through and through and would like to have a carbon splitter. However, I am forever driving over the lips of kerbs (especially at work) and my drive is at an angle so would therefore be crying everytime I heard the scrape!

However with the HT Auto's one (which looks sweet as a nut and being only plastic), its a little less eye watering. When the splitter begins to look tatty, I can get a new one at still less than the cost of a ChargeSpeed/Carbon one.

At the end of the day, its whats right for you.

One final question how deep is it in other words how much closer to the road is it? The ground clearance I have at the moment is ideal for our back roads, the type that have a meadow that grows along the centre with the occasional tree lying in it for company so what will the current front clearance be reduced by?

Thanks

@ normanthedog - my splitter from HT Autos arrived this morning and is good quality (it's moulded plastic at the end of the day).

It took me 25 mins to fit and is simple to do. There are 10 holes that line up with holes in the bumper and you just use the screws provided to secure in place. A little fiddly to get to a couple but not too bad. I just used a philips screwdriver and small wrench to insure the screws were tight.

As to ground clearance it drops the front by 1.5-2 inches I'd say.

Thanks to HT Autos for the swift delivery
