whos changed their MY99 steering wheel?
Trying to fit a momo race steering wheel to my type r, but what do you do with the ribbon assembly behind the standard momo wheel? I understand only the centre bit is used to cancel the indicators. Airbag has been bypassed with resistor, so only need to wire the horn up. I can see I need to get a boss for it, but which one have you guys used on the my99? Any advice from someone who's done it would be great, cheers.
Taylor.

Cheers for the reply Alcazar, this was the case on my 93wrx, just a straight swap, but the MY99 is vastly different. I know i'll need a boss, but was wondering if i could get shot of the ribbon type wiring and just rewire the horn. I thought more people would have swapped the original Momo for something a little different and be full of advice. But looks like i may be a bit of a pioneer.

this is the boss i used, you need the botton one of the 2 that starts HKB, this boss is the only one i could find for sale in the uk that fits the my99.
I cant give any advice on the horn as i didnt fit it myself but think it is straight forward enough.

Taylor, the previous owner of my Type R wired the horn on a toggle switch and used one of the blanks by the I/C water spray to fit it! I now go for the horn on the wheel and nothing happens if you want to have a look at anything then feel free to come and have a look

Cheers Merv, i'm going to try and keep the horn in the original place, it'll do my head in as a toggle switch on the dash.
Martin, thanks for the reply buddy. I followed the link and using the product code, as it is the one specific for the MY99, i found it cheaper here and ordered the boss today.

Much thanks again lads. Just got to get a new horn ribbon assembly now as the one on the car is broken.
