i orderd this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

but it to close to the intercooler and the bov has to sit in a vertial position using this adapter which i think is wrong anyway.

the one u have put up seems a lot better in the sense the flange would position the BOV further away from the intercooler.

but still if there is anyone with one fitted to a new age please let me know what adapter u are using

no with the adapter i have from the ebay link i posted as it has no proud flange like the one u posted.

so because of that it has to sit in a vertical postion with the link i posted not yours. and it cant sit like that because it would hit my intercooler. so im waiting for a response from the guy, but it looks like im going ot have to buy another one like the one u linked.

but there must be someone around who can say for sure as they have one fitted to a new age surely

I have had the same probs on my07 sti
ebay plate fits the valve and the intercooler but not together
i am now getting a plate made that will make the valve sit out a bit from the intercooler , tried a spacer plate but still no good , needs to kick up at a slight angle to miss just about everything that is in the way .

i will keep you updated , should only cost about 20quid i hope !!

i have tried twisting it round all angles and still no good

i am going to get the original hks fitting cut and welded to the new ebay plate at a slight angle , if that dont work i will kit it so far up the road it wont be seen again

makes it worse for me is i bought on here from another member who forgot
to post the fitting kit for tmic , have pmd him emailed him and nothing back for over a month , so i am guessing i have been had!
puts me off buying on here again.

maybe i should name and shame them!!

I would also be interested in seeing what you come up with as I found a pic of one fitted to an 04 Sti and it does kick up from the intercooler :weird:

Sorry meant to say that I have seen an SSQV fitted with the proper HKS flange and it kick up when it leaves the intercooler so I don't think the demon-motorsports flange will work either.

juat had this email bk from demon motorsport

Hi,
If I remember right the SSQV 1,2 and 3 are all the same dimensions? so if one fits they all will.

We have sold hundreds of these adapter plates for the SSQV over the years for both WRX and STi's and never had any fitting issues to date, the only thing you would need to check is that the BOV mounting plate on your TMIC is the 105mm bolt hole spacing and not the 90mm one.

Hope this helps...

Kind regards John at Demon Motorsport Ltd.

- demon-motorsport

so firstly i am going to machine the previous fixing plate my self see if i can get it to work, and if that fails i will order and try the one from demon motorsport.

That picture in the link above is not the plate i have bought twice now , thats the 1 we need , compare that plate to all the others for sale , there is a huge difference

i have checked the hole centres on mine and they are 105mm like all the plates seem to say , only thing i can think is cause mine is the black edition ssqv , maybe its a different size.

i have even taken it to my friend who runs a garage and he said we need to make the plate different , i have tried so so many times , lucky its only 2 bolts and a hose really .

good luck mate

have you got the correct bov for the car as the valve is angled slightly but the adaptor plate was part of the hks valve and does not seperate from the valve

prob not mate , its the black edition ssqv , removed the original fitting where circlip is and fitted to the other new plate , maybe it is the wrong valve , just strange it fits the plate and that the plate fits my tmic . your plate in the pic is deffo different to the ones on ebay though .
