Default Toyo Proxes TR1's now replaced with these

I've been trying to order a set of Toyo Proxes TR1's and have been informed that they have been improved and are now called Toyo Proxes TR Sport's.

Had then fitted this morning and looking forward to trying them out on track.

I previously has Hankook Evo V12's which I must say were fantastic in the wet & dry. Many track days & ragging and they still achieved nearly 27,000 miles.

Interesting I was led to believe they were an addition to the High Performance Road range...

T1R, PX4, R1R and now T1Sport...

WOW, i must be doing something wrong with my tyres then!!! i have goodyear assymetricals fitted to the car i bought last august, and when i bought it they had a good 5mm on them, now i didnt notice quick enough that the inside edge is wearing a lot quicker than the outside, and it is looking like they need to be replaced! when i do i will get the tracking checked to stop this happening!

is the inside edge wearing quicker a common thing on scoobys? i know that the tracking must be out, but are they normally set up for a bit of camber?

thanks,

When you change all 4 tyres its good practice to get them tracked at the same time, can save you a packed

All V groove tyres are being phased out due to EU noise regs my local fitter has told me.

I'm pretty convinced that tyre life depends much on the psi.

I have always had my tyres at 2.0 Br (28 psi) all round.

All this rubbish about track day supervision saying up to 50 psi is required is absolute rubbish. I've have refused to do this and on the same day seen guys do a complete set of tyres.

Why do track instructors recommend such high psi's ???
There is no gain.

At least hope the tyres are better than T1R's as they were ******* shocking and at least in part lead to the untimely demise of my Scoob

Always preferred the T1R's, just the right amount of give to let you know you're on the limit before throwing you into the countryside.

Have used T1R on a 944S2 and an RX8 ~ loved their grip and their ability to eliminate tramlining, but was always a little dissapointed that their (relatively) soft sidewalls dulled steering responses a little.

Are these similar?
